It's a great day to go golfing, especially consider it's "Golf Wisconsin Day", an event that aims at getting more people, kids especially, interested in the game.
Tree Acres Golf Course in Plover was one of more than 200 courses involved in "Golf Wisconsin Day." Tree acres offered a free round of golf to kids who were accompanied by a paying adult.
"It's a great time to get people out here playing. We get a great, nice sunny day, we'd like to attract some of the kids out," said Mike Wolbers, Tree Acres Golf Pro.
This is the first ever Golf Wisconsin Day.
The event is part of Department of Tourism's Golf Wisconsin program aimed at promoting golf-related tourism in the badger state.
