Three men are being held on a $2 million bail in connection to an apparent murder-for-hire plot in southern Wisconsin.
Kimberly Smith of Oconomowoc was stabbed to death last month.
Police say the murder was planned by her ex-boyfriend to get custody of their 4-year-old son.
Authorities say DNA evidence found on a knife and glove outside Smith's hoome led them to 26-year-old Justin Welch.
Welch was arrested in Mexico.
Police belive he was in the country with a former Waukesha native, who is an old friend of Smith's ex-boyfriend, Darren Wold.
Smith and Wold were scheduled for a custody hearing the day she was murdered.

If he was so concerned about not seeing his child again why did he move away a year ago and not visit his child one time since, nor provide for him. Sounds like a deadbeat dad to me, not a concerned father who wanted to protect his child. Protect his child from what???? He's the monster!! Thank God that child was not harmed!!

Ex boyfriend? Don't you mean the father of the child, the guy who was afraid he would never see his child ever again? The guy that wanted to protect his child?
