Flags across the state will fly at half staff on Monday to honor a Wisconsin soldier who will be laid to rest on Monday.

Army Reserve Captain Russell Seager was one of 13 people and one of two from Wisconsin killed during the massacre at Fort Hood, Texas.

Seager's remains arrived home to Juneau County on Saturday, where the community held a memorial service.

Military colleagues and friends saluted the 51-year-old from Racine who last worked as a nurse practitioner at a VA Medical Center.

Captain Seager will be buried near his mother at his family's plot in Wonewoc.
