A Vilas County Sheriff's Captain says a woman who went missing earlier this week has been found dead near the Nicolet National Forest.

Dawn Munnik was found by a hunter in her vehicle Friday. There were no signs of foul play. A cause of death has not been released.

Munnik was last seen leaving her job in Phelps earlier this week.

The Vilas County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
