LITTLE CHUTE, Wis. - The Little Chute community came together Saturday to support the family of a fallen soldier.

26-year-old Nickolas Mueller died Monday when his helicopter crashed in Afghanistan.

Nine other people were also killed.

Hundreds of people lined the streets in Little Chute with flags to pay tribute to Mueller and show support for his family.

An honor guard escorted the family home after they made a trip to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.

There the family met with President Barack Obama, the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of State.

A member of the Patriot Guard says the loss of a soldier is widespread.

"It's a loss that beings at the family level, which is huge and the ripple effect goes through this community and through the state and through this nation and we all feel it," said Patriot Guard Ride Captain Mike Weaver.

Mueller's family contacted FOX 11 Saturday and wanted to thank the community for all it has done for them.
