She was treated at Good Samaritan Health Center for cuts and bruises and has since been released.

They also say the child was beaten at the same time the mother was.

Officials say the infant was admitted to Good Samaritan, then airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

The child is being treated in the intensive care unit with a fractured skull.

Turonie made his initial court appearance this afternoon.

He is charged with physical abuse of a child, misdemeanor battery, felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping - all as a repeater.

Turonie is being held on $50,000 cash bond.
