Kids at Evergreen Elementary in Mosinee have been coming up with some pretty unique stories as part of Young Author's Day, stories like "The Monster Under My Bed" and "The Ugly Princess."
Tuesday afternoon, they got to watch a mime act-out what they had written.
Skylar Grader is a second grader at Evergreen. "It was like watching our words coming to life."
Karina The Mime helped act-out their stories. She says the kids were, "Using their imagination. I strongly encourage that because when I’m performing, they’ve got to use their imagination, and since I’m not talking, they have to listen more with their eyes."
The principal of the school says he hopes activities like this will encourage kids to keep writing more stories.
