Once he is released from the hospital, authorities say a Germantown man is expected to be facing a judge on charges stemming from a rollover accident in Mosinee. The one-vehicle accident happened on I39 northbound just south of the Mosinee exit around 9:00 p.m. Friday.
A Wisconsin State Patrol sergeant tells NewsChannel 7 that on Monday the department is going to recommend the district attorney’s office charge the 26-year-old driver of the car. They say they are recommending he be charged with third offense OWI, having open intoxicants in his vehicle and failure to wear a seatbelt.
The man was airlifted from the scene of the crash to Aspirus Wausau Hospital for treatment of serious injures that included broken bones. Authorities say none of his injuries were life-threatening.
The driver was the only person in the vehicle.
