Each year Marathon County randomly selects more than 3,000 citizens to serve on jury duty. If you're chosen, you'll get a questionnaire in the mail, notifying you that you've been selected for jury duty.
If you're selected, that information can now be submitted online. It's a way that officials say makes the process a lot easier.
"Jury duty is an obligation of citizenship and anyone in Marathon County could find one of those questionnaires in their mailbox," says Donna Seidel, Marathon County Clerk of Courts.
About 10 percent of citizens do not respond for jury duty each year, and they are fined up to $500.
