Some students in Stevens Point are going hungry for a cause they believe in.

Twenty-one-kids from three churches are on a 36-hour fast. It's a way to get a better idea of what people who are truly starving are going through.

"We're doing this to raise money for World Vision and we want the kids to experience what it's like to go hungry and to know what poverty really is," said Pamela Gjersvig, Trinity Lutheran Church.

World Vision is an organization that helps alleviate hunger and poverty in third world countries.
