A Wausau businesswoman is fighting the state prison system to keep her sign-making company in business.
Scenic signs owner Marcia Dalsky says the state prison system has taken her ideas for signs and is selling them at a rate that's nearly half of what she charges.
Not only has the state copied her designs, but they've taken her catalogue order system as well.
"Now, people that have been buying from us can go to the state and give them the same number," said Scenic Signs Owner Marcia Dalsky, "that's not a fair playing field."
Dalsky has been working with state Senator Russ Decker to have the prison system change its practices. Prison officials say they will increase their rates and change their numbering systems.
