Mesaba Airlines and their labor union have been negotiating contracts for more than 30 months and if a decision is not reached by Friday evening, pilots may strike. Mesaba operates seven flights a day out of Central Wisconsin Airport.

"Northwest will try to re-accomodate everybody they'll use pinnacle flights and all the airlines here and those they can't accommodate they'll try to work out additional arrangements," says CWA airport manager James Hansford.

There are more than 800 Mesaba pilots who would be out of the job if they go ahead with a strike. Officials at CWA encourage passengers to call ahead to make sure flights are still running.
