Four lives will never be same after a high speed chase in Wausau.
One man is dead and three more are in the hospital this evening-- all a result of that chase.
Right now Danielle Zdeb is listed in serious condition at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Officers say she was the driver who led them on a pursuit --then crashed into a van.
The impact killed the van's driver--34 year old Steven Luebke from Monroe.
The person riding with him and the passenger in Danielle's truck are both in fair condition at Aspirus.
It took just seconds for the chase to unfold.
Around 6:40 Monday evening--a Marathon County Sheriff's Deputy says he noticed a truck weaving in and out without headlights on sixth street.
The Deputy then caught up with the truck right as it turned off on to fulton street.
"This makes a hard turn, you can see the skid marks it leaves, at the time though, i think the officer was pulling over to stop," explains Marathon County Sheriff Randy Hoenisch.
But the truck didn't stop. Instead police say the driver ignored the stop sign and drove through 5th street.
Another block down the video shows the truck trying to run the stop sign on 3rd street.
But this time a van driving northbound got in the way.
"When the officer radioed in that the vehicle was fleeing, and at that point from the time he radioed in, to the time of the crash was 16 seconds," says Hoenisch.
34 year old Steven Luebke was driving the van. The impact killed him. His passenger, Todd Cooper was taken to Aspirus Hospital. Deputies say that 26 year old Danielle Zdeb of Wausau was driving the truck. The man riding with her was also hurt.
And though Zdeb is in serious condition in the hospital,l she's facing charges including driving drunk and possessing cocaine.
An account is being set up for the family of Steven Luebke and for the recovery of Todd Cooper.
