The NewsChannel 7 crew at the scene says it was all cleaned up, but the smell of an unusual accident still remained an hour after an accident involving cow carcasses.
The Village of Plover police chief says the fire department was called out to clean up what witnesses say are "cow guts" on the road.
The chief says it was not a major incident. No one was hurt and there were no road closures.
Portage County sheriff's deputies say they recieved a report of the mishap involving a truck owned by Countryside Hides at the intersection of Plover Rd. and Highway 54 just after 2 p.m. Monday.
Witnesses tell NewsChannel 7 the remains are both parts and full carcasses.
Police say it looks like the truck driver tried to stop for the stop light too quickly, so remains came over the front of the trailer and out the back.
