Those of you who travel down Highway 70 near Eagle River have undoubtedly seen the Eagle River Sports Arena, also known as "The Dome."

Many people say "The Dome" was the birthplace of hockey in Wisconsin, and that's why Eagle River is the only place that could house the Wisconsin Hockey Hall of Fame.

Visitors can find displays honoring the state's hockey greats, and memorabilia dating back dozens of years, which creators hope will educate future generations in the sport.

Pat Weber, a board member with the Wisconsin Hockey Hall of Fame says, "This place is basically set up to keep that memory alive, keep gathering those artifacts and that from years gone by."

The hall's inductees date all the way back to 1975.
