A Rothschild man accused of holding police at bay in a five-hour armed standoff says he's not guilty.

According to online court records, 23-year old Jesse Jankowski entered the plea Tuesday morning in Marathon County Court. It came after he waived his right to a preliminary hearing where a judge would decide if there was enough evidence for the case to go to trial.

Police say Jankowski was involved in a standoff with officers in April, where he barricaded himself inside a Rothschild apartment. It reportedly started when Jankowski pointed a gun at his girlfriend.

He was then taken into custody after being tasered by officers.

Jankowski, who is free on a $15,000, has been charged with a felony and 5 misdemeanors.
