Wisconsin's Longest-Running Mayor Served in Your Town Eagle River
No mayor in the history of the state served longer than Donald "Pike" Dyer. Dyer served Eagle River for 44 years, from 1953 until 1997. He died in 2005.

Eagle River is home to beautiful landscape, world snowmobile championships and Klondike Days. But its also the place where Wisconsin's longest-running mayor held his post.
No mayor in the history of the state served longer than Donald "Pike" Dyer. Dyer served Eagle River for 44 years, from 1953 until 1997. He died in 2005.
One of Pike's more memorable acts was making a proclamation that the city have beautiful weather from April 1982 until October 1982.
A local historian says Pike would be proud to see how Eagle River has flourished.
