The Taylor County Sheriff's Department is investigating an accidental shooting in the Town of Rib Lake.

In a news release, the Sheriff says they received a 911 call just after 2 p.m. Sunday that a 14-year-old girl received an accidental gun shot wound.

He says she suffered a 4 to 5 inch grazing wound to the neck. She was treated and released from Memorial Health Center.

The Sheriff says the accidental shooting will continue to be investigated and reviewed.
