It's time for the annual Jaycees Fourth of July celebration in Wausau. But this year it will have a different feel.
Typically the grandstand is the center stage for the celebration, but this year it's under construction and won't be ready.
But that's not going to stop the Jaycees from having a big party at Marathon Park.
Pretty soon the lights will be on and the games will be underway. Monkey tails, cotton candy, elephant ears, shaved ice and much, much more will be on the menu.
The rides will also be in full swing and are sure to give even the biggest thrill seekers a good time.
Admission to the park is free. The celebration starts Wednesday night at 5 p.m. and runs through Sunday.
