NEW INFO: Plea Deal in the Works in Price County Murder, Attempted Murder
The Price County District Attorney tells NewsChannel 7 a plea deal is in the works with James Lahoud. He's accused of the September, 2008 attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend, Sarah Engle and the murder of her mother, Charlotte.

A plea deal is in the works for a a Price County man accused of murder and attempted murder.

Online court records indicate James Lahoud is scheduled for a plea hearing next month, even though he's already entered a plea of not guilty by mental disease or defect.

The Price County District Attorney tells NewsChannel 7 he and the defense are working on a plea deal, but won't say what it is.

Sheriff's deputies say the 42-year old Lahoud admitted to shooting his ex-girlfriend, Sarah Engle and killing her mother, Charlotte, in rural Prentice last September.

Lahoud is charged with first degree intentional homicide and 5 other felonies.
