"There was smoke and everything," Ryne Oleson said. "You could just see the back just go up in flames, and it went poof! Right up in flames, and my little sister started crying, and everyone started coming."
It all started around quarter to four when leaves were being burned up in a barrel near the back of the house. Shortly after, enormous flames engulfed the house, and the smoke could be seen from a long ways away.
Crews from Schofield, Weston and Rothschild battled the blaze for more than two hours.
"When I got off the bus, I ran down here and I saw flames coming up, and I was worried about my friends because they live next door," said Haley Wold.
Fortunately, the Everest Metro Police Department says nobody was hurt, including the family. Officials say they are now staying with a friend in Athens. The bad news is they don't have any insurance, and the house is said to be a total loss.
