The first business in downtown Wausau's new Park Place ramp opened its doors Monday.
River Valley State Bank opened its Wausau branch Monday morning, located right across the street from the new Wausau Benefits Building and part of an ongoing push to revitalize downtown.
"It feels exciting and wonderful because we're the first tenant. We're downtown, we made it on time, so October 20th was the day and we're excited to think that this morning at 7:30 we had our first new account."
This is River Valley Bank's first location in Wausau. The bank occupies about 3,000 square feet of the Park Place ramp.
