The nation's second-largest radio owner said today it's buying WPKR FM and WPCK FM from Midwest Dimensions for about $8 million.
The Atlanta-based Cumulus says it will pay up to 70 percent of the purchase price with Class A common stock.
Cumulus CEO Lew Dickey says the purchase will solidify the company's position in the Appleton-Oshkosh market.
Cumulus trails only Clear Channel Communications in size, based on station count.
Including all pending transactions, Cumulus owns and operates 270 radio stations in 55 mid-size markets.
