Charles LoPiccolo is charged with first-degree intentional homicide. His wife, Jacquelyn LoPiccolo is charged with party to first-degree intentional homicide.
Prosecutors say the LoPiccolos wanted their son-in-law killed because he was disrespectful and called Jacquelyn vulgar names.
La Crosse County Assistant District Attorney Loralee Clark says Jacquelyn told police she and her husband took care of it "the Sicilian way.''
Clark says bad relations between the Lopiccolos, their 17-year-old daughter Vannessa and her husband, Irvin Johnson, had escalated to the point where the mother-in-law had threatened to kill the couple and their unborn child several times.
The couple is being held in the La Crosse County Jail on $500,000 cash bond each.
