200 Plus Calves at Veal Farm Killed in Fire
More than 200 calves died in a barn fire at a veal farm in the Brown County community of Wayside. Fire Chief Ben Rosenbaum said the fire reported Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. started at the south end of the building but a cause wasn't immediately determined.

WAYSIDE, Wis. (AP) -- More than 200 calves died in a barn fire at a veal farm in the Brown County community of Wayside.

Fire Chief Ben Rosenbaum said the fire reported Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. started at the south end of the building but a cause wasn't immediately determined.

He said the barn was fully engulfed in flames by the time volunteer firefighters arrived.
