Although the major combat in Iraq is over, our troops and their families still need our support.
Many military families face a financial burden when a loved one is away fighting in a war.
That is why Paul Kaetterhenry of Marshfield is organizing a rally to help raise money for the families of our troops.
The "Let's Roll Rally" is being held in Stevens Point on May 17.
The rally will kick off with a motorcycle ride from Plover to Pfiffner Pioneer Park for live patriotic music, food and drinks.
Donations are $5 and will be put in a special fund for the troops and distributed by the Salvation Army to military families in Marathon, Lincoln, Portage and Wood counties.
If you are unable to attend and would like to make a donation, contact Sarah Kamke at 1148 Grand Ave., Schofield, WI 54476.
For more information about the event contact Paul Kaetterhenry at (715) 486-9393.
