A former marine who was held hostage in the Middle East says he feels now is the right time to oust Saddam Hussein. Kevin Hermening was 20-years-old when he was taken hostage in Iran. Since his captivity, he says he's been intrigued by anything Middle Eastern.
As anti-aircraft fire fills the skies of Baghdad, he says he thinks this is the right time to oust Saddam Hussein.
"I actually was a person that believed, with the absence of a post Saddam war plan 12 years ago, we should've left him in power, " Hermening said. "Defensive capabilities only."
Hermening says he believes Saddam needed to stay in place 12 years ago to act as a buffer for Islamic radicals in Iran and Syria.
