It's an anxious time to be the parent of a military service person.

Former Air Guard member Mary Krueger encouraged her daughter to serve yet now, with the looming possibility of war in Iraq, she carries a lot of added stress.

Eighteen-year-old Miranda Krueger left Marathon City High School early last August to enroll in basic training. She is set to graduate in April and beyond that, her next assignment is uncertain.

Mary Krueger says they've been in contact by phone just once but when her daughter left, Miranda was willing to go to war if that was what was needed of her.

She says if the U.S. can't avoid war at least she knows there are so many other families out there facing the same worry so it doesn't feel like she's alone.
