As Seen on Page 2: Local Author Is Remembered and Recognized for His Book, "The Water Buffaloes"
Dr. Lyle Burton Gangsei wrote the children's book, "The Water Buffaloes" before he passed away. His son resurrected his father's memory by having the book published. It was chosen as a Portage County Reading First Group book this summer.

Before his death, Dr. Lyle Burton Gangsei wrote a story about growing up, losing and winning centered around an underdog little league team named, "The Water Buffaloes."
His son, Peter Gangsei wanted to continue his father's legacy and so he collaborated with Liv Aanrud to illustrate the work.
The book is now published and chosen as a Portage County reading first group book for this summer.
