The Vilas County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of a scuba diver in Land O' Lakes.

Land O' Lakes EMS responded to a call of a diver in distress on Joyce Lake about 3:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Crews found a 61-year-old Little Chute man non-responsive and not breathing.

He was transported to Eagle River Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man's name is not being released until family is notified.
