All lanes of Highway 54 near Plover are now re-opened after a chemical spill earlier Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at approximately 10:15 a.m. when a 350-gallon tote containing sulfuric acid fell from a moving semi. The tote cracked as it struck the road, creating a noxious cloud.

    No injuries were reported.
