The unleaded you put into your car is not the only fuel with a skyrocketing price. Even if you don't drive a big rig, the rising price of diesel will hurt your wallet as well.
"If we have to charge a customer $100 more to get product from point A to point B," says Gene Scharrer, general manager for Roadready Transfer Service, speaking of the dilemma facing trucking companies all over the country. "That $100 has to be added to the price of the product when it hits the consumer shelf."
Trucking companies Newschannel 7 talked to say they just can't afford not to have a fuel surcharge.
