Chad Sharon is the 18-year-old Merrill High School graduate who vanished in December while attending Notre Dame University.
Police say a surveyor spotted Sharon's body underneath a bridge on the Saint Joseph River in South Bend, Indiana.
A tentative identification has been made on Sharon from his clothing, jewelry, and ID found in his wallet.
At this point officers say there are no signs of foul play in the case, but an autopsy is set for Thursday.
