Two state legislators and a former aide charged in the caucus scandal are expected to appear Wednesday in Dane County Circuit court.

Assembly Majority Leader Steven Foti, Representative Scott Jensen and former aide Sherry Schultz will go before Judge Steven Ebert.

The three may enter pleas, and Ebert could set trial dates for their cases.

Five lawmakers and four aides are charged in the ongoing Capitol corruption investigation. The investigation began with allegations that state employees were illegally campaigning on state time.

Tuesday, Dane County Judge Daniel Moeser dismissed one of the felony charges against state Senator Chuck Chvala. But he refused to throw out the other 19 charges that claim Chvala shook down lobbyists for contributions and abused the power of his office.

The ruling allows the case against Chvala to continue.
