Busy Bs Long-Standing Tradition

Of all the teams who will see action at the Mosinee Recreation Center this weekend, only one can say they've been involved in the Badger State Games for four decades. They call themselves the Busy Bs, and they've been taking care of the ice rinks at the rec center for 40 years. They replace broken light bulbs, keep the rink clean and maintain the scoreboards.

"We're all retired guys, the Busy Bs. We clean, repair, whatever has to be done," Bill Sinkofer said.

"There's a lot of upkeep around here. When we get done, we drink coffee and lie to each other," Sinkofer chuckled.

"I just hope they enjoy using it as much as we enjoy doing it for them," Wally Beedle said.

The seven men in the group are all in their 70s, and they call themselves the Busy Bs, because all of their names either begin or end with the letter "B."
