MINDORO, Wis. (AP) -- 14 people who reported feeling ill and lightheaded at a Girl Scout camp were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning.

Capt. Mike Horstman of the La Crosse County Sheriff's Department says emergency crews were called to Camp Ehawee just before noon Thursday.

Authorities say seven were treated at hospitals in La Crosse and released, and the other seven were treated at the camp.

The 14 included campers and staff members.

Camp director Adrian Tsilis says the source of the carbon monoxide was unclear, although those affected had been in the staff lodge at the time.

He says it remains under investigation.
