The attorney for the 20-year-old suspect in the stabbing death of an 18-year-old at a party in Schofield last year is asking for certain evidence to be banned from the trial.
Court records say the defense for Devin Felix filed a motion to suppress a knife that officers say is the murder weapon, the clothing he was wearing during the incident and statements he made to investigators. The defense claims the search of Felix's apartment was a violation of his constitutional rights.
Prosecutors have a month to respond.
Felix is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Nathaniel Davids.
