MINOCQUA, Wis. (AP) -- Two men who took a gamble on stealing lottery tickets could turn out to be big losers. Police say they have the two in custody.

In Minocqua, a box of the tickets was stolen from Trig's Shell Station last Thursday afternoon. Then two men were shown on surveillance cameras at the BP Travel Center gas station in Antigo, where the entire lottery ticket display was taken later that afternoon.

Minocqua Police Chief Andrew Gee says one man has been arrested in the case and another believed to have been involved is in custody for an unrelated matter.

The names are being withheld pending formal charges.

The chief credits his department's work with Antigo police for helping with the investigation. He says they'll keep working together until the case is done.
