A Lincoln County court commissioner has set a cash bond of $1 million for the suspect in the murder of a 25-year-old Tomahawk woman. Derek Domke has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and armed robbery.

Police Chief Don Johnson says Domke, 18, was arrested Wednesday and is being held at the Lincoln County Jail.

Friday the state requested Domke be held on a $500,000 cash bond, but the court commissioner felt that was too low given the seriousness of the charges he’s facing and the sentences they carry.

Domke is facing a mandatory life sentence if convicted for the murder of 25-year-old Rochelle Anderson. Anderson was found severely beaten and stabbed outside the convenience store where she worked.

Domke is facing an additional 60 years behind bars for the armed robbery charge.

According to the criminal complaint Domke used a knife-like object and club-like instrument to threaten Anderson while robbing her of cash, cigarettes and a computer tower from the gas station before allegedly striking her on the head, stabbing her and killing her.

District attorney Don Dunphy and Tomahawk Police Chief Don Johnson both declined to comment on the details of their investigation only saying it’s ongoing.

According to the criminal complaint investigators found Domke’s hand print in Rochelle’s blood in the bathroom sink at the gas station where she worked.

Court records show Domke lives less than a block away from the store.

A person of interest in the case - 21-year-old Nathan Ives of Wausau - is also in custody.

he deserves to be in prison his whole life...i dated him and he's crazy...although he has bi-polar but still his parents shoulda gave him something for it.... im pretty sure he did it...because he seems like the type that would...plus he's only pleaing not guilty because he wants his freedom...but if he's the one that did it...then he's stupid for doing it

This derek is a DEVIL he deserves to sit in max with bubbba and be torchered for the rest of his worthless life. I knew Rochell for the past 11 years and always considered her a friend and this has been a nightmare from hell for me. I'm glad they've caught the person responsible of taking away such an angel on earth. Also I want everyone to know my story...I was with family saturday night and Nate had my car I let police come to my house and search the car so if he had anything to do with it they would find out. Nate picked my cousin and I up that night and there wasn't anything suspecious. Nate had been running from warrents that he had for awhile and turned himself into jail soon as he was aware of what was being broadcasted about him "PERSON OF INTEREST". Also Nathan DID know Roch and never had any problems with her. Our Prayers are with her and her family.

Derek, honestly, what happend to you?? The person i used to know would've never done such a thing. I used to spend the night at your house and dance to stupid songs like we didn't even care and now this??? It's soo hard for me to believe that that person could do this, but i have to when there is a hand print left behind in blood. What kind of a thing could've made you want to do this?? You used to be such a good friend, and now all that goes through my mind when i think back on memories, is knowing that you could kill someone... You did this, and now you have to live with the consiquences.
