FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- A judge orders six months of jail time for a teen accused of accidentally killing his best friend as the two played with a loaded gun at another friend's Ripon home in February.

Fond du Lac County Circuit Judge Steven Weinke also put 19-year-old Evan Tolsma on five years of probation and ordered yesterday that he serve 500 hours of community service in the death of 18-year-old Jason Perry of Omro.

Tolsma pleaded no contest to homicide by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon.

The criminal complaint quoted him as saying he picked up a gun and pulled the trigger while he, Perry and another person were looking at different weapons. He said he did not know it was loaded.
