ANTIGO, Wis. (AP) -- Charges are being combined against a man facing trial for smashing his SUV into the side of an Antigo motel and killing a man inside.

Stephen Van Vleit is charged with a third offense of drunken driving and homicide by both negligent and intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.

A Langlade County judge now has combined those charges with three felony bail jumping charges to be decided when a jury hears his case in September.

Police say the 57-year-old man drove his SUV into the Good Nite Inn Motel last summer, killing a 26-year-old man who was inside a room there.

Prosecutors say Van Vleit's blood alcohol level was more than four times the legal limit.
