    UPDATE: Escaped Ashland County Inmate Back in Custody Save Email Print

    The Ashland County Sheriff's Department says an inmate that escaped the county jail Saturday night is back in custody.

    Sheriff John Kovach says Phlip Ray Vaughan was a huber inmate released for work in the laundry room as a jail trustee at the time of his escape.

    The Ashland Police Department took him into custody in the city of Ashland just before 1 a.m. Sunday.
