The search for Johnny Depp continues as crews move the movie set of "Public Enemies" to the Northwoods.

Depp stars as the famous gangster, John Dillinger, who led FBI agents to the Little Bohemia Resort in Manitowish Waters.

Meeting a celebrity is something many of us will never have the opportunity to do, but having a movie star film a blockbuster in your own back yard...
It's causing people to become star struck.

Karen Schrerber, of Rhinelander calls herself a crazed fan and drove up in hopes of seeing Depp. She was so excited she could barely contain herself when a film crew van drove by. She said "...And he could be in that van because they turned and then they went that way. If he pops out of there I'm going to die and you guys don't tell me this because I'm going that way mic and all."

Locals are crossing their fingers that they'll be able to catch a sneak peak of Depp, but some are saying the most likely place to see him is at a local church when he's done filming for the day.

Julie Pairolero, co-owner of Michael's Parlor, says "They have a base place where they are going back and forth to. And that's where they're saying if Johnny's signing autographs he'll be out there."

Security has been tight and everything about the movie has been kept very hush hush, but that's not stopping the local star struck fans.

Debbie Meirer, owner of the Up North Wisconsin Store, says, "Living in Manitowish Waters... Someone knows something on one end of town and from the time it actually happens, the other end of town already knows about it."

"Public Enemies" is expected to be finished filming in the Northwoods by the end of the week. And the film is slated for release in the summer of 2009.
