Residents of a neighborhood on Wausau's east side, say a couple of cars were torched in an alley off Third Street early Saturday morning.

People who live in the area say it's one of several acts of vandalism that have been happening frequently in their neighborhood. One woman says someone threw an object the size of a cue ball through the window of her husband's truck.

Some residents say they haven't felt safe in their own homes for quite awhile. One man who says he's been robbed more than once, tells News Channel Seven's Sabrina Wu that he is afraid of retaliation from whoever is perpetrating the acts.

Another man, Dennis Sefton who owns a house on the corner of Seventh and Lincoln Avenue, says a shovel came crashing through his bedroom window at 3 a.m. Saturday morning.

Wausau police say they had several complaints of vandalism in the vicinity of Sefton's address Saturday morning, but would not say how many or discuss the specifics of each incident. Police say they have not yet taken anyone into custody for the crimes.
