Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a home in Almond.

Portage County Sheriff's Deputies, the Almond Fire Department and the Portage County Fire Task Force were all dispatched to the home of Randy Golz at 9061 Bolter Lake Drive for a report of a house fire at 4:21 Saturday morning.

No one was injured in the fire.

The house is a total loss.

What started the fire is unknown and this time and is under investigation by the Almond Fire Department and the Portage County Task Force.
