There are some new changes in the tax code, and one will benefit educators.
Teachers can write off up to $250 on the their tax returns for the cost of school supplies.
Many teachers spend their own money to make sure their classroom is stocked with pencils and notebooks.
Teachers, teacher's aides, or anyone who purchases the supplies is eligible for the write off.
They don't need to have the receipts to make the claim, but they will need to provide them if the IRS asks.
