Dale Robinson took a trip away from the Marathon County Jail to the Langlade County Jail last weekend.
Robinson made his initial appearance in Langlade County on burglary charges Monday morning.
The criminal complaint says Robinson took $480 from his neighbor's apartment three days after the disappearance of Deanna Zuleger Scantlin last July.
Sheriff's Deputies found evidence linking Robinson to Deanna's disappearance while investigating the burglary charges.
Robinson has been charged with kidnapping and theft in Marathon County in connection with Deanna. But neither county has charged Robinson with murder.
Deanna's body hasn't been found, and enough evidence hasn't come back from the state crime lab to warrant adding murder charges.
Robinson will be arraigned on the kidnapping charges Nov. 26.
