People living in the Wausau area should have a lot more restaurants to choose from about a year from now.

Weston Village administrator Dean Zuleger says they're hoping to add two or three restaurants to the area, one by the new St. Clair's Hospital and another by the Target store in Schofield.

He says those restaurants will probably be national chains like TGI Friday's or Chili’s.

"I think we'll have one or two national chains and we've got a family restaurant that's being planned in the village, kind of a sit down place," said Zuleger.

Zuleger says the first restaurant should be open by this fall.
