For hundreds of local students, their artwork isn't hanging on mom's fridge, it's hanging up in a public library for everyone to see.
About 200 4th and 5th graders in the Wausau School District were chosen to be part of the Cluster Art Program.
They go to UW-Marathon County for a week where they work on art projects. Those projects are now on display at the Marathon County Public Library as part of an art show.
There are colorful poster displays and 3-D butterflies and dragonflies.
"It encourages them and gives them a special thing in their lives and it really is an awesome thing for the kids to do," said Chriss Mosse of the Wausau School District.
If you'd like to check out the art yourself, it will be on display until the end of this month.
