The State Agriculture Department has quarantined another deer farm in our area.

Investigators say the Breezy Hill White Tail game farm in Wausau, bought two animals from a deer farm in Portage County where a deer tested positive for Chronic Wasting Disease.

A spokesperson for the department of agriculture says the farm is only quarantined to make sure no evidence of CWD is present.

The owners of the deer farm say they volunteered to have the two yearling bucks tested for the disease, but they say they are confident the results will be negative.
